This a Gasparo da Salo model viola with a back length of 420 mm / 16 ½”. The front is made from some very old Italian spruce I acquired last year; and the back is made from some wonderfully figured poplar. The sides are matching. Like Violin 122 it is very resonant with a lovely tone and huge dynamic range.

The varnish is the same as Violin122 and glows in the same way. Very Old Italian looking!
