Violin, 2023 - Gasparo ds Salo model c. 1580  

This violin, completed in 2023, is inspired by the work of Gasparo da Salò, one of the founding figures of the Brescian school of violin making. Rod Ward’s interpretation of the c.1580 model captures the bold, expressive character typical of Gasparo’s instruments, while incorporating the precision and balance expected of a modern concert violin.
