Violins
Rod Ward violins are handcrafted using the finest tonewoods and traditional Italian methods. Each instrument is built from wood sourced from the same forests once favoured by the great masters and finished with varnishes based on historic recipes.
The result is a violin of exceptional beauty, tonal depth, and projection.
Rod’s workshop typically produces instruments inspired by Guarneri del Gesù - including the Baron Heath (1743), Heifetz (1741), and Sainton (1743) models - with other classic designs available on request.
Below is a selection of Rod’s violins currently available for purchase.
